Growing up in rural Arkansas, Peco Reyes found there was much adventure to be desired. They devoured books, TV shows, and the internet as an endless source for their thirst for this quest. This evolved into his passion for fantastical stories. Reyes began to experiment with digital art and media so they could create their own visual narratives. Sharing these digital works online was easy for him to do and allows a wider audience to view his works’ messages. Specifically, Reyes is influenced by darker subjects and young adult fiction, along with the growing presence of mental health awareness and the LGBTQ+ community.
